Groggy Conversations

Mat is a pretty heavy sleeper and it takes a while for him to fully wake up. Up until just last year he was notorious for turning off the alarm, sitting up, stretching, annnnd falling back asleep in a seated position on the bed. He was also the guy who would talk absolute nonsense when he was "coming to". There have been many times where I've been tempted to keep a journal on my bedside table so I could jot down all of his early morning crazy talk.

There have also been times {more often than not} that I totally take advantage of his groggy state and egg him on...pulling out even more groggy hoopla. That is, until he starts to really wake up - then he gets annoyed that I've been messing with his head. What can I say? It amuses me to no end.

Unfortunately it's been a while since he's done any of these things.... until today. After snooze going off a few times and a few pokes to the ribs from me he started to mumble...

Him :: These wheels are awesome.
Me :: Babe, I don't know what you're talking about.
Him :: These wheels are awesome.
Me :: Still don't know what you're talking about.
Him :: Greyhound.

Oh. My. Word. I didn't have the energy to continue with it so I hopped in the shower. But ... Greyhound?? When I asked him what he was dreaming about it didn't match up to anything that has to do with wheels, a bus line or a racing dog.

Do you know someone who does this??

    My husband does this too!!! He does it as he's falling asleep at night, though. It takes me much longer to fall asleep than him, so sometimes I find myself having silly conversations with him in his sleep. It's my little bit of fun at night. :)

    I don't know anyone who does that.

    However if my hubs is sleeping and I wake him up (if he needs sleep really bad) and ask him something, it can be a minute conversation and agreed and all that and he'll wake up later and not remember the conversation at all. Tis crazy. But it's usually after one of his long jobs.

    LOL, I think he's in the running for the Sleep Talkin' Man blog. Have you ever seen it? It's hilarious!

    LOL I don't know anyone who does this specifically...but my sister talks in her sleep! The funniest was when she spoke in German...she had no recollection when she woke up!

    Sister #2 used to do this, but she also used to sleep walk at the same time. My oldest sister (#1) and her best friend used to torture her by making her talk about weird things and do weird thing like take showers in the middle of the night to have her get ready for school.

    LOL - I love those sleepy conversations. "The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round..."

    I talk in my sleep a lot apparently.

    Silly Mat!
