I’m wrapping up my BabyEtte Etsy Shop 3-week feature – there is still time to enter both giveaways in previous features - a Luxe Neckscape giveaway and a Babywearing Poncho giveaway! Beth’s work has been featured on Etsy many times, in baby gift guides, accessory gift guides, and various treasuries. The workmanship is beautiful in each piece, down to the smallest of details.  This week I’ll be showcasing yet another wonderful item for babywearing Mommas and Daddies. Here is the conclusion of my interview with BabyEtte’s creator:

Do you have any advice for other artists/crafters?

Find what you love and immerse yourself in it. It will shine through in your products. Also, try to be in your photos, if applicable. Your customers will appreciate seeing the artist behind the item they love.

How do you promote your work?

I play around on twitter, facebook, and flickr… but the biggest thing I do is create new designs. I keep adding more to my shop and people are noticing!

Any upcoming events or news that we should know about?

I now have gift certificates available in the shop, perfect for expectant and new mothers. Also, all of my pieces are shipped gift-ready.

This summer, I became very aware how hot I could get with Charlie in a sling. Miserable is an accurate way to describe it. So, when Beth asked if I had any suggestions for her shop, I remember asking about a lightweight sling that’s more breathable. What she came up with couldn’t have been more spot on! She sent me a Water Baby Mesh Ring Sling in black. I only wish I had a sling like this from the start, I tend to get overheated quickly. This sling is perfect for hot days, walks in the park, or just taking a dip in a wade pool. 

BabyEtte’s slings are all designed with your needs in mind, working for newborns and toddlers both. The shoulder of the sling is pleated, making for an extremely comfortable babywearing experience. One thing is for certain - I’m definitely packing it with us for our upcoming trip to Great Wolf Lodge! I know Charlie will love wading comfortably with me in our sling. I can't wait!
