Simple Green Pink Ribbon Giveaway :: CLOSED

Tuesday, October 27, 2009 Posted by •´.¸¸.•¨¯`♥.Erin.♥´¯¨•.¸¸.´•

Yes, we still love Simple Green after all this time. We still use this product!

Find this giveaway and other fabulous giveaways over @ Mom Most Traveled's Fall Blog Carnival.

October is nearly over already. But like my friend Casey mentioned in her Monday Mingle, helping to beat Breast Cancer should be on-going. I couldn't agree more! Our passion for the cause should not sit idle as soon as the calendar flips to November. Otherwise, I wouldn't call it passion...more like a sentiment during 11% of the year.

I know many of you have heard by now that Simple Green has gone pink to join the fight against breast cancer. 5% of the Simple Green Pink Ribbon cleaner sales will go straight to the incredible National Breast Cancer Foundation.  This beyond worthy foundation rallies for women's health, screenings, early detection, and research {not event planning - proceeds get put to good use right away!}.
Simple Green Pink is the same naturally-derived formula as the Simple Green Naturals Multi-Surface Care cleaner {that I used daily}, but packaged in a beautiful pink bottle with a new pink grapefruit natural essential-oil scent.  You just can't beat safer non-toxic cleaning for you, your family, and the environment! I have to say, that I absolutely loved the smell of this cleaner. The first thing I did when it arrived was clean my kitchen counters! Don't act so surprised... The grapefruit smell is so fresh and crisp. I can't wait to clean the bathroom with it!

Currently, the Simple Green Pink Ribbon cleaner is available to purchase nationwide at Navy Exchange and for California residents at a few smaller retail stores {e.g. Orchard Supply}. BUT you can also pick up a 32 oz. bottle along with a pink microfiber cloth for $4.29 online until the end of the year!

Also please know that any and all sales made online will help to persuade Simple Green Pink in making a come back next year, raising even more money for NBCF!! Why don't you pick up a few extra bottles and put together a nice gift basket for your best friend, sister, mother, etc. It would also make a lovely hostess gift for any last minute holiday parties you may attend! Or a holiday gift swap, paired with other breast cancer awareness gifts.
Thanks to the incredibly generous folks at Simple Green - I have a bottle of Simple Green Pink Ribbon all purpose cleaner to giveaway!
and a pink shammy!

This is simply a giveaway for my readers -- I recieved one bottle of product, no other compensation. You can read more about my giveaways in my Acknowledgment Policy.

    he Myth

Men do not get breast cancer.
    The Truth

Quite the contrary. Each year it is estimated that approximately 1,700 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 450 will die. While this percentage is still small, men should also give themselves regular breast self-exams and note any changes to their physicians.

I knew that being healthy reduced your chance of breast cancer, but I didn't know that it is the lower level of estrogen, that results from exercise, that causes a reduced chance of getting cancer.

I learned that although some studies have shown that factors such as traumatic events and losses can alter immune system functions, these studies have not provided any evidence of a direct cause-and-effect relationship between stress and breast cancer. Good to know, I have special needs kids and am always stessed out! Thanks for the giveaway!

  54. Erika*Coffee said...

A mammogram, or X-ray of the breast, is one of the best tools available for the early detection of breast cancer. It CANNOT cause cancer to spread, nor can the pressure put on the breast from the mammogram. Do not let tales of other people's experiences keep you from having a mammogram. Base your decision on your physician's recommendation and be sure to discuss any questions or concerns with your doctor.

What Kind Of Impact Does Stress Have On Breast Cancer?

Although some studies have shown that factors such as traumatic events and losses can alter immune system functions, these studies have not provided any evidence of a direct cause-and-effect relationship between stress and breast cancer. An area currently being studied is whether or not stress reduction can improve immune response and slow progression in women diagnosed with breast cancer.
